A fully modular game ready M4 carbine create for use in Unreal engine 4. The brief from the client was for a modular weapon that was to include a base rifle, several stocks, grips, muzzle attachments, sights and magazines plus a multi part bullet. The model was to be rigged in a way that all of the attachments could be snapped on to the correct place on the model using bones on both the base rifle and a corresponding bone on each individual item. The model included may parts, and extra detail including multi textured objects showing opacity and emission. Forward planning of the modelling had to be included in order for the weapon to be animated later in the development stage.
